Lazy Daze Arts and Crafts - Cary NC - Aug 26-27

The weekend of August 26-27 I will be showing my work at the Lazy Daze Arts and Crafts Festival in Cary, NC. The hours are 9am to 6pm on Saturday and then 12:30pm to 5pm on Sunday. My booth number is B200 which is at the corner of Academy Street and Wilkinson Avenue.

The complete list of canvas giclée prints and birch wood pieces that I plan to bring is below. I know sometimes all of the titles get hard to match up with the piece. So if you need to visual reference you can click back into the prints page. If you want to reserve one please contact me. You’ll have to prepay but it will ensure that no one can buy the piece before you are able to make it to the show.

If you want me to bring something specific that is not on the list below then please email me by Wednesday (Aug 9) so I can have it ready in time to bring it with me.

post script dated 09/04/2017 - I had a super show in Cary - sold more artwork than in the 3 prior years combined! I still don't even know how that is possible but I am feeling very happy and excited about it. :) I've taken down the list of canvas giclee prints that I took just to save space.

Update from the Midwest

from toby - Just thought I would give everyone an update on how we did in Wisconsin and Michigan. 

Madison was beautiful - we totally loved it. The venue is magnificent and the weather was great (thankfully). We sold a record number of canvas giclee reproductions (for one show). It was crazy actually. And overall it was super successful in terms of sales as well as the overall reaction people had to Michelle's work. She also received an "Invitational Award" which means she is automatically invited back next year - which is great b/c the jurying process for this show is very competitive. So looks like we'll be back in 2018! Can't wait to sit down at Graze again.

Ann Arbor was great as well. Last year was our first year there and it was a record breaker in terms of total $ sales. Well, they still love her up there b/c this year we broke the 2016 record pretty easily. :) And as for the town - it's still cool as ever. Favorite restaurant we ventured into was Sava's.

Virginia Highland Summerfest June 3-4

I am already heading back to Atlanta! I was just there in April for the Dogwood show but I guess that wasn't enough. :) I will be there the weekend of June 3rd – 4th for the Virginia Highland Summerfest art show. Atlanta Dogwood Festival

Update - South Florida and Raleigh

Quick update for you. 

1. Coconut Grove in Miami. This was my first time at this event and the overall artist talent level was just off the charts. There was an unbelievable amount of high quality art. And I have to admit that I still get goosebumps thinking, "Wow, I belong here - with all these great artists." It's definitely special.

2. Naples. I'm always happy to go places I've never been and Naples is no different. The dates are March 18-19. Should be great. 

3. I got accepted to show at the upcoming Artsplosure festival in Raleigh, NC in May. Super happy to have this confirmed. This will be my third time at the show but I never take it for granted that I will get in - b/c it's just that competitive. So now that it's official I feel better and breathe easier.

MOUNT DORA ARTS FESTIVAL

update 02/27/2017 - First things first: Mount Dora was great. This was my third trip there and it was by far my best show in terms of sales. So, that's always good. Next, in the paragraph above I reference a list that I made for all the canvas prints I was bringing with me to the show. Well, I deleted the list b/c it was lengthy and no longer relevant - seeing how this festival was a 3 weeks ago. :) Okay, carry on.

2017 Winter/Spring Schedule

Pretty exciting to be visiting south FL in the next couple of months (Miami and Naples). My work is not traditional Miami style but it's 2017 and I'm throwing caution to the wind. Right? :)

St. Augustine Art Festival

The weekend of November 26-27 I will be showing my work at the St. Augustine Art Festival. The show is in Francis Field which is super close to downtown making it a great chance to shop for art and have lunch in one of the great local restaurants. The weekend of November 4th-6th I will be at Seville Square in downtown Pensacola for the Great Gulf Coast Arts Festival. The hours are 9am – 5pm on both Friday and Saturday and then 10am to 4pm on Sunday. My booth number is #10 on Miro Manor - the southeast corner of the square.

ocala done - pensacola next -

Had a super weekend in Ocala! I sold 2 original pieces The Open Door and The Traveler's Gift. It's honestly a little bitter sweet when I sell an original piece. And The Open Door had become such a favorite. People would honestly come into the booth and take a selfie with the wolf. Grown people would. It was so funny. As for The Traveler's Gift - it was my newest piece and was only beginning to settle into my booth. I sort of think it sold too soon but then I know it's not. Both pieces found a great home and I am so happy. Yay.

I also got an award of merit at the show. I'm so honored b/c there are so many great artists there. I bestowed the award to Toby as he seldom gets recognized. :) Check me out on Facebook and/or Instagram to get the full story about it - including his ridiculous response!

Ocala Arts Festival - Oct 22-23

Blue Ridge, GA - Fall Arts in the Park

I will be in downtown Blue Ridge, GA for their Fall Arts in the Park on Saturday and Sunday - October 8-9. The hours are 10am – 5pm on both days. 

In addition to the 6 original pieces which I'll have with me, I will also have 16 giclée reproductions on canvas, 1 reproduction on birch wood, and plenty of paper giclée prints with me.

3 for 3!

Crazy but true. At each of my last three shows (Cary-NC, Augusta-GA, and Charlotte-NC) I've been chosen for an award. All three were juried events with more than 100 participating artists and the judges are picked because of their experience in the arts over an extended period of time. So I've been so fortunate and I am very grateful. It definitely feels good and also motivates me to push myself. I hope to continue to create pieces which connect with the heart and inspire the mind.  Thanks to all who support me...and sorry for bragging :)

Piedmont Park Art Festival - ATL!

Here I go again. Back to Atlanta this weekend. It's my safe place. :)

The Piedmont Park Arts Festival is Sat and Sun Aug 13 and 14. Just got my booth assignment and I'm #51 which is at the southeastern corner of the running track/active oval. There is a map below and I placed a red star where I'll be - my best guess. 

The weather looks a little hot but otherwise pretty good. And I am not sure I will be making it back up there until the Spring. So if you are in the Atlanta area please come out and see me !
