Imperfect edition~canvas giclées
Below are a handful of canvases that I haven’t taken to festivals either because they are of older paintings of mine, or they have slight surface imperfections. Specifically where the sheen/ texture of the canvas isn’t perfect. The color, the details, etc., it’s all great in these pieces, but when seen in a glare or at an angle the imperfections can be seen. I haven’t included photographs for each one because it’s surprisingly difficult to capture it. In part I think that’s because, as I mentioned, these blemishes can only be seen at an angle or in certain kinds of light. If you want to see before purchasing let me know. Also, any purchase made sight unseen will be fully refundable. So when you finally see it in person and you decide it’s too much or too noticable, then that’s totally fine. Thanks!

The imperfection is a dent/raised line on the surface. It’s about 1 inch long along the left side/edge of the piece.

The Trove 24” x 18” imperfect edition

The imperfection for this piece is that the surface has a spot where the sheen is different and there are little tiny bits and bumps over the whole surface. This came from mistakes made in applying the final coat of varnish.

Wanderlust 48” x 48” imperfect edition

The imperfection for this piece is the frame is just slightly warped, so it doesn’t hang perfectly flush on the wall (one corner doesn’t touch the wall when hanging). So where it is hung in a room determines how noticeable it would be. It's not horrible, but depending on your personality it could really bother you….or not!

This piece has some slight streaking and textural impections. This happend while it was being sprayed with a protective top coat after printing. It’s not that noticable except at certain angles and in certain light/glares. The regular price for this size is $ 750, the discounted price is $500.
The next 2 pieces do not have any imperfections, they are just a bit older so I’ve had them for awhile. And given that I’ve created so many new pieces in the years since these two, I rarely take them to festivals. I can only fit so much in our van! So here they are with a small discount. :)

I created this piece in 2016 and the first time I showed it to an audience a young woman commented, “He is so badass, and yet so tenderhearted.” I loved that.
In our first children’s book, “Of Land and Sky”, Toby wrote such a sweet poem for this - I’ll include that on the product page.

I created this piece in 2014 and it became one of a handful of pieces that helped me set out a vision of where ultimately wanted to go. In our first children’s book, “Of Land and Sky”, this piece accompanies the first poem that the reader encounters. There is still such a sweet spirit to it.
