Virginia Highland Summerfest June 3-4

I am already heading back to Atlanta! I was just there in April for the Dogwood show but I guess that wasn't enough. :) I will be there the weekend of June 3rd – 4th for the Virginia Highland Summerfest art show. The hours are 10am to 6:30pm on Saturday and 10am to 6pm on Sunday. For more info about parking and other events happening that weekend, feel free to follow this link to their website - Summerfest

I plan on bringing a lot of art with me - 4 original pieces, 20 plus giclée reproductions on canvas, and plenty of paper giclée prints. Below is the list - I know sometimes all of the titles get hard to match up with the piece. So if you need to visual reference you can click back into the prints page. If you want to reserve one please contact me. You’ll have to prepay but it will ensure that no one can buy the piece before you are able to make it to the show.

My booth number is 556 which is on the north side of Virginia Ave pretty close to N Highland Avenue. After this show it will at least be 4 or 5 months (maybe more) before I make it back. So I hope to see you there!

postscript 08/03/2017 - I removed the list b/c this takes so much space. :)

Update - South Florida and Raleigh

Quick update for you.

1. Coconut Grove in Miami. This was my first time at this event and the overall artist talent level was just off the charts. There was an unbelievable amount of high quality art. And I have to admit that I still get goosebumps thinking, "Wow, I belong here - with all these great artists." It's definitely special.

2. Naples. I'm always happy to go places I've never been and Naples is no different. The dates are March 18-19. Should be great.

3. I got accepted to show at the upcoming Artsplosure festival in Raleigh, NC in May. Super happy to have this confirmed. This will be my third time at the show but I never take it for granted that I will get in - b/c it's just that competitive. So now that it's official I feel better and breathe easier.

update 02/27/2017 - First things first: Mount Dora was great. This was my third trip there and it was by far my best show in terms of sales. So, that's always good. Next, in the paragraph above I reference a list that I made for all the canvas prints I was bringing with me to the show. Well, I deleted the list b/c it was lengthy and no longer relevant - seeing how this festival was a 3 weeks ago. :) Okay, carry on.

St. Augustine Art Festival

The weekend of November 26-27 I will be showing my work at the St. Augustine Art Festival. The show is in Francis Field which is super close to downtown making it a great chance to shop for art and have lunch in one of the great local restaurants. I plan on bringing with me 4 original pieces, 21 giclée reproductions on canvas, 4 reproductions on birch wood (plus plenty of paper prints). Below is the list of the canvas reproductions and the birch wood pieces. The Great Gulf Coast!

Hope to see you there!

ocala done - pensacola next -

Had a super weekend in Ocala! I sold 2 original pieces The Open Door and The Traveler's Gift. It's honestly a little bitter sweet when I sell an original piece. And The Open Door had become such a favorite. People would honestly come into the booth and take a selfie with the wolf. Grown people would. It was so funny. As for The Traveler's Gift - it was my newest piece and was only beginning to settle into my booth. I sort of think it sold too soon but then I know it's not. Both pieces found a great home and I am so happy. Yay.

I also got an award of merit at the show. I'm so honored b/c there are so many great artists there. I bestowed the award to Toby as he seldom gets recognized. :) Check me out on Facebook and/or Instagram to get the full story about it - including his ridiculous response!

Here I come Pensacola - with a new piece I hope. Nov 4th-6th.

Ocala Arts Festival - Oct 22-23

This weekend - October 22 & 23 - I will be in downtown Ocala, FL for the Ocala Arts Festival. The hours are 10am – 5pm on both days. For more info on the festival their website is here - http://www.fafo.org/about-the-ocala-arts-festival/

My booth number is 101 which is at the corner of Broadway and Osceola Street. I plan on bringing with me 6 original pieces, 19 giclée reproductions on canvas, 3 reproductions on birch wood (plus plenty of paper prints).

Hope to see you there!

Blue Ridge, GA - Fall Arts in the Park

I will be in downtown Blue Ridge, GA for their Fall Arts in the Park on Saturday and Sunday - October 8-9. The hours are 10am – 5pm on both days.

In addition to the 6 original pieces which I'll have with me, I will also have 16 giclée reproductions on canvas, 1 reproduction on birch wood, and plenty of paper giclée prints with me.

Hope to see you there!

3 for 3!

Crazy but true. At each of my last three shows (Cary-NC, Augusta-GA, and Charlotte-NC) I've been chosen for an award. All three were juried events with more than 100 participating artists and the judges are picked because of their experience in the arts over an extended period of time. So I've been so fortunate and I am very grateful. It definitely feels good and also motivates me to push myself. I hope to continue to create pieces which connect with the heart and inspire the mind.  Thanks to all who support me...and sorry for bragging :)

Schedule Update - through the end of 2016.

Got a few more dates to put up which run all the way through the end of my 2016 schedule. Well, there is still a chance I will do the local Riverside Arts Market at some point but it depends on how crazy my life gets.

  • Lazy Daze Arts and Crafts Festival. August 27-28 - Cary, NC.
  • Arts in the Heart. September 16-18 - Augusta, GA. (First time to Augusta!)
  • Festival in the Park. September 23-25 - Charlotte, NC. (First time to Charlotte!)
  • Fall Arts in the Park. October 8-9 - Blue Ridge, GA.
  • Ocala Arts Festival. October 22-23 - Ocala, FL.
  • Great Gulf Coast Arts Festival. November 4-6 - Pensacola, FL. (First time to Pensacola!)
  • St. Augustine Art Festival. November 26-27 - St Augustine, FL.

Piedmont Park Art Festival - ATL!

Here I go again. Back to Atlanta this weekend. It's my safe place. :)

The Piedmont Park Arts Festival is Sat and Sun Aug 13 and 14. Just got my booth assignment and I'm #51 which is at the southeastern corner of the running track/active oval. There is a map below and I placed a red star where I'll be - my best guess.

The weather looks a little hot but otherwise pretty good. And I am not sure I will be making it back up there until the Spring. So if you are in the Atlanta area please come out and see me !

State Street Art Fair - there and back again

So we made the 16 hour car drive from Jacksonville to Ann Arbor - and then back again (with some meandering along the way home). And it was definitely worth it!!

We got there a day early so there was time to walk and see the University of Michigan campus some, as well as the downtown area where the festival was held. (I don't always get to do that.) The campus is beautiful and overall Ann Arbor is such a cool place with a plethora of bars, good restaurants and small shops to enjoy. It was fun.

In terms of total $ sales - it was my best show ever. So of course that made me happy! :) Going to a new festival in a totally different part of the country is kinda risky. I knew that no one would know me or be familiar my art so I was definitely nervous/anxious. As it turns out I had nothing to worry about. It was great from the very first hour (actually from before I even officially opened!!). Toby is already looking forward to next summer, and we might even try to link up the trip up with another show in the Midwest. But who knows? Next summer seems an eternity from here to me.

Oh yes, and I also received an honorable mention in the 2-D art category.  Given the number of seriously talented artists there, I was very pleased and happy about that!

Riverside Arts Market - July 9th

I am going to be at the Riverside Arts Market (RAM) for the first time ever this Saturday. I'll mostly have canvas and paper reproductions available. I'll have one (maybe 2) reproductions on birch wood - those are so awesome by the way. And I'm bringing the original "Love and Loyalty". It's a ram so of course right?

So come out if you can. It's going to be a hot day but under the bridge with the river breeze it should be nice. See you there!! www.riversideartsmarket.com

Group Show - "Fresh Air" sponsored by Southlight Gallery and CoRK North

I'm going to have 3 pieces shown at CoRK North (part of the Cork Arts District) for the Southlight Gallery show - "Fresh Air". The show opening is June 23rd from 6pm to 9pm and then runs through June 30th. Please come out and enjoy the art! I'm super excited to be a part of it! The address for CoRK North is 603 King Street, Jacksonville, FL 32204. The three original pieces I will have are Steadfast, Love and Loyalty, and Alfresco. (The links there take you to the reproductions available for each.)
